As I am pretty sure now that I'm going to get the AKG's I would be glad if there is someone who could give impressions about that combination.
I really enjoy the K 701 with rock and metal. I like the tight and deep bass and the wide sound stage. I don't want the amp to color the sound too much but I don't want to get it sounding too analytical either it should just be quite neutral.
I'm also think of getting the Alien USB DAC by MASantos (http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=235238)
Would that be a good idea?
If there is something else you would recommend it should be around 250€.
Maybe I could get the AKG's much cheaper than the normal price (from someone who worked fr AKG for many years) but I don't know if this will work nor what the price would be so the amount left for amp/DAC could grow eventually.
