Hi everyone.
Luck striked me again.
Some may remember I was the one few years ago who inherited a brand new never used AKG K340.
I'm still enjoying it, best of best.
But this topic is not about this.

So, this Akai gem came around, and I found it quite interesting as never heard of decent Akai headphones. It looked awesome, also did not know what linear drive means. It came in the original box, in excellent condition.

Looked over the internet and found only very limited info about these ASE-40s.
Sadly I still don't have any headphone amps, and it is clear for me that my Yamaha amp is not really enough to drive them as they deserve, but still, they sound amazing (or can we call it different).
Did some research on this isodynamic drive, and I find it quite clever, and definetly hear the major differences to my K340.

Wondering if anyone got these kind of headphones around, to have some chat about them, etc.
I know that technology passed away and there are better sounding stuff out there, but guys, these are one of the most beutiful headphones I've seen so far. Much appreciate old japanese technology :D
Some crap pics shot by my phone:
