I have the Total Airhead and used it for a time with the HD-600's. I found that it worked but I found myself wanting more. As I moved from one amp to another I found that the 600's responded to each upgrade. I think you will be happy initially but there will be that nagging need to improve the sound.

I recently bought the Supreme for my hd600's, and I think even that isn't enough power. I doubt using an Airhead compared to many other amps would drive it well.

i used the total airhead for a short period of time with my HD-600 and IMHO the TA fell way short in running the HD600 or my ER4S to my satisfaction so i returned it...on the other hand my portable 9v Meta 42 runs either headphone very well...

It will give you better sound than the HD600 alone but I would recomend an upgrade to better amp, maybe some sort of META that was strong enough to power them.

I use an Airhead with the HD600s. It works just fine. The sound of the HD600s through the Airhead is superior to the sound of anything else I have heard through the AirHead.

However, the HD600 is perhaps the most finicky dynamic phone I've dealt with or seen. It sounds differently with each amp out there, literally. Very finicky phone. The amp that does the HD600 justice is the blockhead. It's a beauty. But you'll need the source to match; it must be a balanced source, too.

But the TAH will be just fine. Trust me :]

Cheers,
