As I sit here listening to my iPaq 5555 & ety 4p's, sipping my Michelob on my dock at the lake, I can't help but wonder how much better it could get! Who says you can't take it with you or that you can't have it all!

Having just received the ety's, I just had to try 'em out & I must say that I'm impressed. The isolation is all I hoped for and should make flying tolerable again. My big concern was comfort & I must say this has been a pleasant surprise as well. The tri-flange has been in for about an hour now & just seems to improve as time goes by. Still struggle to place the foamies & get a good seal. Suggestions or tips? Maybe I need the smaller ones?

Life is good...real good!!

Lucky guy, most of us are still stuck at work. TGIF... just two more hours.
Cannal phones are just plain awesome for air travel.

my friend did the foamy mod found by the search function on head-fi on his sty-er4p. he sliced those foamies down, and now he's in aural heaven - plus they seal better in his ears, or so he says.

A "foamie mod"?? Is there nothing folks on this board won't try?! I'll give it a look. Thanks.

Not being apologetic but the Mich was "leftover" from a visitor. They brought some Ultra/low carb. Granted it's not what one would call full bodied but if it's the only thing in the fridge...

Besides, the price was right(free) and since I live in a dry county, I suppose any beer I went out for would be expensive since I'd end up driving through and over dem dar hills.

Not sure we need to get into a "favorite beer" thread as the mods may not appreciate it but I was listening to the ety's while drinking it so it's affect on the sound may be relevant. Yes?

So let's have some suggestions. I'm always looking for new experiences.

FWIW, I do like those vodka coolers along with a Mikes Hard Lemonade for an occasional change of pace.

Ken,

Given the severe logistical constraints on accessing quality ale, for which I am truly sorry, you really had little choice in what must have been an awful choice (ultra light of something already light!). Dry counties should be banned!

You're right, the moderators may chide us, but since part of the listening experience can be enhanced by imbibing, I think we can make a case for the discussion of beer along with that of our cans!

I'm assuming you're in the U.S., so in addition to the usual English ales (Bass, Newcastle Brown), some of the best U.S. beers for me are Anerson Hop Ottin, Lagunitas IPA, Red Tale, and a new Sierra Nevada beer called Bigfoot, that packs a whopping 8.5% abv! (So does Arrogant person Ale form Stone Brewing!).

Now I'm thirsty.

Hppy listening, and good drinking!

(I bet this never makes any searches!!!)

I'd heard of the higher alcohol content beer but haven't had the opportunity to try any......yet.

As for my favorites, when money and location allow....

Hoegaarden
Leffe
Guinness
Desperados
Warsteiner
Bass
Foster
Becasse
Chimay
Killian's
Mort subite
Corona...yes, Corona!

I fear we may have awoken a monster! Maybe we should just stick with beer in "cans" so as not to stray too far from the real substance of this forum!!

But what are good cans, good amps, good ICs, and great recordings without some liquid sustenance?

Maybe we could use this to supplelment considerations for the various meets organized on here. Not only will decisions be made about what gear and equipment to be brought to these things but also what liquid supplements! What a service!

Ken, I trust you're not drinking all these one after the other at the same sitting!

Nah, not quite that heavy a drinker. Just experience from days in college and military service.

Guess you're right....this thread has gotten a bit off course and I suspect we're approaching the limits of the moderators patience so I'll dc the beer talk and get back to the "cans".
