First she costs her school district god knows how much in a $2.7M lawsuit, then it turns out she's a flaming idiot. Jesus christ, if you're going to plagiarise you have to do it in a manner that's not BLOODY OBVIOUS.

Unrelated, but she's also ugly.

The sad part is I don't think that Harvard will rescind her admission.

She wrote that she was not aware of the paper’s “strict citation scrutiny” and thought sourcing rules for journalism were more lax “because there was no place for footnotes or endnotes.”

I have a very strong urge to just stab her in the eye, and will now apply to as many scholarships as I can, because if she can win $25,000 by cheating, I'm sure I can do it honestly.

agreed

proper citation will save your butt

not only that lots of correct citations will make your paper even longer

but we know a good paper isn't all quotes and cites.

Guess she's never heard of "in-text citation." ???

You don't need end notes or footnotes to cite references.

Now that is the kind of karma that I like to see.

If she does get to Harvard, I don't think she'll find too warm of a welcome.

The plagarism is horrible. It's apparent and some of the material, like Clinton's speech, is very personal and opinionated. She's not just stealing conclusions and inferences, but original ideas and writing. Plagarism isn't something you need to take a college course on to learn. I can't understand how being 17 exempts you from stealing other people's work.

That valedictorian thing is deplorable too. I don't think she has any place to dictate to the school on how they should commend their students.

********!! If she was smart enough to file suit for sole valedictorian, she sure as hell new about plagiarism.

Hornstine, who completed many of her courses over the last two years with tutors because of an immune deficiency

Apparently she thought she was immune to plagiarism
