The famous "Konami code"...
Incidentally, can anyone remember any other games that it worked for? I recall trying it on all my Konami (and some non-Konami) games, and it sometimes did something cool.
That and the Mortal Kombat for Genesis blood-enabling code were the two that I remember most vividly...

Ahhh man, I still remember that to this day. You know, I wonder if it's kind of sad that my dad remembers how to race go carts from when he was a kid and I remember how to cheat in Contra from when I was a kid.
