I knew it would happen, although I have yet to try the ThieAudio origin. After that, I can say for sure, but of course, it's a good "Jack of All Trades" IEM for the price. If we don't count the Drums ( Drums on Cantor sound a bit thick ), the timbre tech and resolution are also quite impressive.
Dayum! Cantor is really moving up in the porta-fi world.

I hope the most interesting ChiFi brand out there eventually moves out of resin like shells and 2pin connectors :)

I only using aful 5+2+btr 17 for me it is very amazing combo so can imagine cantor also very very good. Before i was worried if btr 17 will be too technical or bright but it came very well. as this source is very revealing and detailed but not too dry more neutral.

I wonder if we will get a Cantor+2 this year from AFUL. 14BA with DD, or something like that.

I'd like to see the Explorer +2 honestly. I feel pretty good with the IEMs I have, but that one would convince me to pull the trigger.

Aful 7 is such a solid baseline iem. It’s hard for me to like other sets it’s so strong and fun.

Excited to see what Aful will do next. Issue I see is that Explorer, p7, and cantor were so good I’m not sure where they will go. Like maybe a cheaper retuned 1+1 for 100ish or a mid priced iem with a new driver or tuning in the 400 dollar price. I’m thinking aful 8 and and aful magic one replacements or something. Will be interesting.

Naah how about 12 ba + 2 est. That will be interesting.

Every tech document of their IEM contains the praise of EST treble, which they emulate with BA + their high dampening pressure release thingy. Given their stubborn of not putting EST in their IEMs, I guess they would just jump to planar tweeter instead

Maybe Performer8+2 with 2DD and the new planar tweeter from P7 🤔 Such an IEM has every chance of outperforming Cantor at a lower price tag.

Or maybe they will launch their in-house “bone conduction” driver.

I seriously hope they don’t release a new version of the Cantor or a new IEM that outperforms it anytime soon. I literally just got this thing.

I’ve had my Performer 8’s since June 2023 and still love these things. For my tastes they are the perfect blend of fun and technical. They are the last “audiophile” grade thing I’ve bought and have no desire to get anything else.
