I've never heard anything better than some really beaten up SR60s, but still, i want a lot of detail in my music and good attack speed. Smoothed out, blurry sound just doesn't seem right to me.Soundstage is the least of my concerns, and i like impactful, yet not too bassy sound. From what I've heard, the MS1 have the aforementioned characteristics. With the source being an AV710, because i can't afford anything a lot better, I was thinking about getting the Headsave Go-vibe. Is the Classic much better? Are there any amps ready-to-use at around 150$ + shipping that would suit the MS1s?

I have the same soundcard and an MS1. In your approximate price range, I recommend either an amp with a similar circuit to the Grado RA-1 (often called "clones") or a Pete Millett hybrid tube amp. Either would sound very good with what you have.

Amps similar to the RA-1 can be found both here and on Ebay for less than $150. Sometimes you can find a genuine RA-1 for not much more. Alternately, for only a little more than $150 you can assemble the Millett hybrid--it sounds especially good with the MS1.
