Hi All
At the moment, I have a Focusrite 2i4 and a pair KRK Rokit 8 speakers.
The KRK’s have their own output and are connected to the 2i4 by XLR.
Recently I switched to an iMac, and I noticed no difference in the quality of the output of my music collection, which
is in either FLAC, WAV or APE format.
Now this is were you come in guys, so please be as honest as you can!
I was thinking that perhaps I should splash out and invest in another Focusrite DAC in this case the,
Clarett 2 Pre Thunderbolt DAC and keep the KRK’s,
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Focusrite-...kmr0&keywords=Clarett+2+Pre+Thunderbolt+Audio
and keep the KRK’s, or utilise the iMac’s DAC and use a mixer such as this one;
Mackie ProFX4v2 4 Channel FX Mixer
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0101YV1YI/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A3M4ZC7E4CDSNG&psc=1
and in the future replace the KRK’s with a pair of ADAMS speakers which I have heard are better.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance.
