I know there is a post for understanding tube amp. However, I want to get quick advices to be able to use the amp before reading the long post instruction.
Background: this is my first tube amp(NEWBIE) and I only use solid state amp

1. For solid state, I alway keep the amp turn on the whole day even though i don't use it. So for the tube amp, is it good for the tube amp? what should I do after listening to it a. assume that i won't listen to it until next 3 hrs. b. I will listen to it next 40 min.

2. Should I take the tube out of the amp after listening or keep it on the amp?

3. should I turn down the volume to zero before powering up the tube amp or just leave the volume where it is?

4. should I put the headphone jack into the amp before powering up the tube amp or after powering up?

5. Some of your advise for safely using the tube amp and tube plz

6. How should I do to swap tubes safely during listening(tuberolling)? a. turn off the amp and power and swap the tube/// b. turn off the amp and not power and swap the amp.

7. if I use the same tubes but change its position input on the amp(I have 2 kind of tubes now). Will it change the sound?

thanks

tubes can break (be careful when changing them) and get very hot (let cool after use).

I would strongly suggest you find sacd lover's primer on using tube amps and maintenance, it is geared to the newbie. They are simple and will last a long time, but you do not want to take a shortcut on the minor quibbles that are needed to make sure your tube amp runs for a long time. Take the 30 minutes to read it through, the knowledge gained will easily compensate the enjoyment and peace of mind you will receive from it.

I would not leave the headphones plugged in when switching the amp on or off.

you can only use 1 type of tube in any of the 3 spots. you can swap brands to your hearts content, but you CANT use a 5687 as the input/gain tube and a 12ax7 as the output tube.
