Hello there. I've been debating recently whether to ask for advice or not. I've spoken about how much I love the Grados a lot, and I don't want to get any smart asses using what I've said against me.

I still do love them! Anyhow, I've (obviously

) decided to ask. What the heck, you guys can call me crazy if you want.

I love the Grado sound. I've been enjoying the sr325's for a while now, and I just love the way they sound. The problem is, after a while they really hurt my ears. I've tried the bowl pads, the comfy pads and the sennheiser pads. None of them really help. I'm really considering looking for a new headphone. What I'm looking for is a headphone that sounds as good as the sr325's and doesn't kill your ears in the process. Unfortunately, I really don't know of any.

Since I know you'll all ask, my tastes in music are mostly rock based. The Rolling Stones especially.

Thank you ahead for any advice you can give.

The sound really isn't that fatiguing to me. It's mostly the way they press against your ears. I'd love to try a tube amp, but I'm pretty broke at the moment. Besides, I'm enjoying the JMT-built Meta42 I have.

Maybe if I could get a job I could try one of the tube amps.

Keep experimenting. I tried the Mem Foam Mod, which alas was a failure... but they felt great.

Debated about placing something between the Senn pads and my ears (layer velour or pleather), but I got use to the Senn pads and think they're comfortable now.
