I'd like to get a nice portable player that I can store files from my itunes, mostly AIF, Apple Lossless and some MP3. Also now I use TIDAL for most new music so offline storage from TIDAL is a must. Something that sounds great, holds a lot of storage and just works without a bunch of hassle. If it just had the user interface as good as an iPod from 10 years ago I would be perfectly happy with that. I am pretty happy with the sound I get from my iPhone 7 with the Audioquest Dragonfly DAC but it's so clunky to haul around with that big dongle hanging off of it, I'd just like a dedicated player I think. Bluetooth is a must as well. I don't really care how much I spend I just want something that works and sounds great. So much stuff out there, I don't even know where to begin or how to sort through the mire.
