Oppo PM-3
Schiit Modi 2 Uber
Schiit Magni 2 Uber
Oppo HA-2
 
Mainly listening to EDM, Rock, and Metal (mainly EDM though)
 
Looking for suggestions and thoughts of anyone who's heard both or either of these units.  I am not opposed to purchasing a Valhalla from Schiit (stock tubes) if T1 ends up being my choice.

hey dude, ive only listened to them extensively in store under A20 amp, own dt1770
 
no golden ears here, but the openess of T1.2 over T5p is apparent, places in songs where treble comes into play with the T1 its like a refreshing breath of fresh air
T5ps bass was more satisfying for me
 
given your EDM preference, maybe T5p is more suited for u? if you are only choose from the 2 that is
 
for me personally, dt1770 was more enjoyable, especially the bass, tho T5ps mid a bit more forward
 
sidenote, dt1770 and T5p gen 2 have easible "rotate on" pad insertion mechanism, where as T1.2 is the same as dt770880990, which is bothersome
