Well, I'm getting a new cell phone for T-mobile. I'm planning to go unlocked and willing to spend around 300 dollars. Basically, I would want a nice camera on it and aesthetically pleasant. Right now, my first choice is the K810i. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Well, either I already chose a great cell phone, or nobody knows any recommendations. If anybody has this phone, can you comment on it?

Know a couple of guys who have the pearl, and they are happy with it.

Go to esato.com and ask.

Anyway, with regards to your original choice of the k810i, I'd say go for it. Me thinks its a great phone.

BUT, if your pockets are regularly full of lint/crap, be careful then because the joystick can become troublesome after about a year of usage if exposed regularly to dust and dirt. Just a heads up for ya.

Good luck in choosing a new phone!

^Agree with the joystick comment in post above.

I had a friend with the k750, his joystick stopped functioning after maybe a year or so. Don't know what caused it, he seems to take good care of his phones. He has two at a time/had two (the k750 on cingular, and sidekick II on t-mobile, so neither phone was under too heavy fo usage). He's said he wouldn't get another SE phone with the joystick, but nothing against the brand itself. Don't know how common the joystick problem is, but it seems to be there.

On another note,
Grand 5 megapixel shootout: The usual suspects - GSMArena.com has a review comparing a few 5 MP phones. " Sony Ericsson K850, Nokia N95 8GB, LG KU990 Viewty, and Samsung G600"

The Samsung G600 is what my friend with the broken k750 is now planning to get. Ebay shows about $300 for the G600.

Also, out of random curiosity, are you heading to rowland heights to get the phone? Noticed you lived in Diamond Bar

i used to have the K810i, and used it everyday heavily. its not a bad phone, camera is good. The buttons are its weakest point, i used it all the time and theyre awkward and fiddly.

The control stick on it was less responsive after a few months.
