Adding Power to a portable speakers.....

I have these speakers, which is very weak when i use it with my ifp-395 player.. is there a way to add "watts" or like batteries to the speakers? with a volume control? sorry its kind of hard to explain..

Seriously, you could fit a cmoy amp in an Altoids tin with one or two 9V batteries, depending on your patience and soldering skills. Start here for the cmoy. Again, this amp was meant for headphones; make sure to include plenty of output resistance (50-100 ohms in series with the output).

Check diyaudio.com to see if anyone has a small amp design intended for speakers.
