When you want to add a new piece of equipment that isn't in a certain list (Headphone amps for example). you can only select from a database. You cannot put a product in when it's not in the database.  A lot of commercial gear is available but diy stuff for example is nowhere to be found. Is this deliberate? Is there a reason you can't add new products?

When you type in the search what you're looking for you will be presented with a list, probably not a very long one. At the bottom will be a link "add it manually". When I tried it the site wouldn't let me add specs or other details but you may have more luck. Also it won't let you delete things you've added.
