I have a bunch of music ripped into AAC by itunes. All files are just the song title, and apparently the aac tag has all the info. For some reason it doesn't write id3 tags. Can aac files hold them?
I need to convert all this music into mp3 format. I know, transcoding blah blah blah - I don't care about loss in sq in this situation. But, when I convert aac->mp3, it loses the aac tag and I end up with a song title and no other information. That isn't going to be any good when I've got 1000+ songs staring at me in no order at all.
I need to somehow to these songs into mp3 format, with id3 tags. The only two ways I have thought of that could accomplish this are as such:
-Get something to change the AAC file names to coordinate with the AAC tag (which has the artist, album, track, etc). Then i'll convert them to mp3, and then use a program to create id3 tags according to the file name.
-Somehow add id3 tags to the aac files, then convert them to mp3, and everyone is happy
-anything else?
Are there any other ways I could do this? Are there any programs that can accomplish any of these things? I've downloaded a number of programs, and none of them can do anything helpful. I remember someone saying itunes can do Something, but I haven't been able to figure out how.
Anyone?
