Hi all!
I am trying to figure if it is possible to convert my AKG 240 headphones to wireless through minor modifications and adaptors.  I bought these headphones for a class in college and the new iphone 7 coming out has me at a standstill of whether or not to buy a new pair.  I love my AKG headphones and would like to be able to continue to use them.

The AKG have a 3 pin mini XLR for the audio cable the headphone side is a male connector and the cord side is a female connector. Most bluetooth adaptor are made for headphones such as Beats that have a jack on either end of the cord.  I am trying to figure out what kind of cord/adaptor is needed so that I can make one of the preexisting bluetooth adaptors work, unless there is an existing wireless adaptor for 3 pin mini XLR headphones.

If you are looking for something that plugs into the headphone you might be out of luck there. The mini XLR is not too common with consumer headphones so I doubt they would make that adapter. There are plenty of Bluetooth adapters that you can plug your cord into but none that I have seen that will plug in directly to the headphone. There might be one out there but after many googles none so far .

Buy a BT receiver that clips to your shirt, then buy a custom cable for your headphone. Look for eBay sellers for example that make cables for your headphone, then ask if they can make you a shorter one, but given the pricing for the wires, offer to pay for a full 1m of the cable since it's harder for them to sell the remainders of under 1m increments.
