I recently noticed when I'm listening to my AD900 and I coil the cable up it makes a noticeable hissing noise. When I stretch the cable back out or move it around the hiss goes away. It doesn't seem to be the connection to the headphones and it isnt the amp since it makes the same noise out of multiple sources. Anyone have any ideas?

Electrons move better through wire when it's not wrapped up.  But, I don't think that's the issue here.  Perhaps you have some internal damage to your wire, underneath the insulation, that causes the hiss when you bend things just right.

It was pretty loosely coiled because I didn't want to over bend it so I'm starting to think it might be something inside like you said. Seems to only happen when randomly bending the cable. Guess I'll just have to keep it stretched out and hope it doesn't get any worse.
