Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you have heard the AD2000 in combination with the DV332. If so, what were your impressions of the pairing? What source was used?

Or would I be better off with some other <$400 amp? What of the Head Direct EF1?

The AD2000s are OK with the DV332... but... they're better with other amps, such as the SOLO SRG, or X-CANv8, or Millett MiniMax, which are better with low impedance phones.

I'd look for an amp, that is especially good with low impedance phones, which some report the EF-1 is. Of course, the Caliente, and the C2-C, also are reportedly good with low impedance phones - in that general price range.

The DV332/DV3322 is great with Senns and high impedance phones, but stretches a bit to drive low impedance phones - they're not quite as smooth with with these amps.

Gradofan, how would you say the Darkvoice impacts the AD2000's sound? Is the pairing smooth/harsh, warm, etc.?

As I recall... the AD2000s are a bit rough and harsh with the DV332, not as smooth as Senns are with it.

Its been about a year, since I had the DV332.
