AD-700 Arrived!

Well, I don't have anything to compare them too, but with music playing at a average volume I can't hear much else. They should be fine for your needs.

glad to see the AD series of audio technica headphones (outsided of the AD2000) are getting the attention they deserve!

We've had and known about these headphones for a while in Oz, sad that they're not so readily available in USA otherwise against the likes of HD595s I think most people would be pleasantly surprised!

I never liked the 595's. When I ordered my A700's I got a pleasant surprised when they were AD700's. SO much better than then 595's. I used them for a full 3 weeks and got a full refund including shipping because they sent me the wrong product :p. Couldn't justify keeping them. I was planning on returning the A700's already anyways

im enjoying mine..they have the same head time as my 990 because they are big and so comfortable..

Very interesting range of headphones.

Which do you prefer out of:

DT990, Denon AH-D2000, Equation RP21 and ATH-AD700's?

Guitar center in the US has recently added audiotechnica to their headphone lineup. This should increase their popularity quite a bit.

Quick question...is the AD700 a step down from the 900 or is it a totally diferent sound signature to those that have used both?

completely different sound sigs, I'd consider them rough equals but the AD700s appeal to my ears much more

I just took the plunge on the AD-700. I'm hoping it'll please me more than the IM716. I hope newegg will return those since they're just not for me or my style. Hope.
