Astell&Kern Expands the ACTIVO Product Line with the ACTIVO Q1 In-Ear Monitor, A New Collaboration With IEM Manufacturer DITA Audio

Astell&Kern, a global leader in high-resolution audio players and accessories, announces a new collaborative IEM with DITA Audio. The ACTIVO Q1 is the first IEM to be released under the ACTIVO brand. The Q1 will be on display at the Hong Kong AV Show, August 9 – 11 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. Pricing and availability of the ACTIVO Q1 will be shared at a later date.

The ACTIVO Q1 is a hybrid In-Ear Monitor, featuring DITA’s new PM1+ 9.8mm dynamic driver with brass housing and a single Knowles balanced armature driver. Keeping with DITA's tradition of custom-building cables for every earphone, the Q1 is equipped with DITA’s improved MOCCA cable utilizing conductors made by Cardas in the USA. The custom-built MOCCA cable is constructed of 32 strands of Cardas conductors per cable, double the amount of conductors found in the original Project M’s MOCCA cable and includes both 4.4mm balanced and 3.5mm single ended connecting plugs, ensuring support for any audio source.

Also included with the Q1 is an ACTIVO x DITA branded mini Tanos Systainer case. Five different sizes of final Type-E eartips with final Audio case ensure the perfect fit.

The new IEM collaboration brings together years of expertise in the audio industry between Astell&Kern and DITA, culminating in the perfect earbud match for the newly released ACTIVO P1 by Astell&Kern Digital Audio Player.

TWS from A&K are not exceptional.
But if we are talking about IEM, I have a different opinion.
I had and have Astell&Kern IEM headphones.
Great synergy of their headphones with great DAPs of their company.

Have to agree to disagree with that statement - I have the A&K T8iE MK2 and they are exceptional single dynamic driver IEM's. Bass to die for, rich mids and a tastefully tuned treble responce.

The Q1 is based on the Project M, but uses an upgraded cable and a different material for the dynamic driver. It is also tuned to match well with the ACTIVO P1 player.

I wonder which way the tuning will change. I suspect there will be more bass since these are supposed to be IEMs for active sports people
