My P1 has reached 375 hours burn-in and recently I notice the bass significantly improves a lot. The impact and the magnitude of the bass has grown and increased quite a lot, which starts to form a pretty warm foundation on the whole sound signature (of coz not as warm as Walkman, but very close). The beautiful high and extension still remain and harmonise well with the increased bass. So for this factor the P1 can now pair almost all of my IEMs very well, except the Final Audio A5000, which is still a bit bright for me but it sounds better now with the P1. The aforesaid bass distortion on EQ also diminishes along with the burn-in process, but not sure it will be eliminated eventually.

@JasonNYC I found that there is a bug while playing albums within the playlist. It successfully plays 2 to 3 songs and then for the 4th song, it is playing but no sound can be heard from my IEM, and it extends to the rest of the album with no sound output from the P1. Can you please address this issue to the A&K engineer team for fix? Thanks.

The A5000 is one of the brightest IEM that exist to have the largest soundstage possible. You buy it because its bright^^ it may be beat by the A4000 though

Originally I pair the A5000 with my Walkman ZX707 and it is a perfect match, while using with P1 it sounds a bit bright.

Thats interesting as the ZX707 is brighter/has more treble than the P1. You use both on direct?

Could you provide a little more information please? Is it the same playlist all the time? Different playlists? Playlist you created on the player itself? Is it all PCM FLAC or DSD also in the playlist?

So my screen protector from Amazon arrived. It’s much better than the stock one. It covers the entire screen, is much more responsive and more clear as well.

In another news, there is now a Miter case for the Activo P1, available in 2 colors on Amazon. I ordered the black one.

I saw that MITER case. Not too crazy about PU "pleather", though. I am curious to hear your impressions when it arrives. There is also a Chinese eBay seller offering a leather P1 case. I am a little hesitant with that one, too, as there are very few details posted (such as what type of leather, how thick, etc.).

JasonNYC posted earlier that the official cases would be available by the end of the month (September), so maybe they will pop up soon? I really need something. I have been using a little drawstring bag that a serviced watch was returned in, but the drawstrings are a pain as they get tangled with the IEM cable and also have a tendency to get caught in the zipper of my jacket pocket...

Official P1 case is much worse, you can check it on their website. I'm not a fan of PU leather either but I have other Miter cases and they are decent.
Sad that Dignis hasn't made any cases in a while. Their leather cases are top-notch.

Anyways I'll let you know when it arrives.

Thinner than any other Android DAP with a 4.4mm balanced out I reckon.

The dimensions are great and it's very ergonomic ... not very thick at all.

The Miter case is nice. Adds a little chonk to the device, but feels way more secure now.

Yes it is. The update last night was that it will not be available until the end of November. I do not know why it was delayed further other than that is the new availability date.
