well i promised some people here that i would collect some information from them and give the information to the local police for internet fraud. but i really can't be bothered doing all the work
biggrin.gif
so here's what i plan to happen:

for mega and sleepkyng to contribute to this thread posting their dealings with Tarik. ie amend the attached file. i will be using this file to give to the police.

if there is anyone else who has dealt with the two people please contribute to the file too. i will synthesise all contributions to a final copy!

also for your information seiko_citizen is now selling the PIMETA Tarik scammed off sleepkyng. he's been doing the same tricks as kunwar and riddley have posted in his feedback thread
smily_headphones1.gif

here is the file:

http://members.iinet.com.au/~jtb81/scam.doc

i think Tarik and seiko_citizen are two different people, though working in cohoots. just that seiko_citizen has more of a favourable reputation on the internet, which hopefully may be cast in a different light now

i "traded" a pimeta with an elpac psu to Tarik for a supermini and cash on 6/25/2004.

I sent the package on 6/30/2004
over the next few weeks I briefly corresponded with tarik about when my package was shipped.

I received no notification of when his package would arrive, although he did say that it shipped on 7/2/2004.

I waited two months, never got anything.

Just a suggestion.. you all might want to clean up the grammar and sentence structures a bit before submission to ensure that whoever reads your report can follow along with minimal effort.

EDIT: Not that it's extremely hard to read the way it is now or anything, I just think it just might help make the report look a little more professional and "put-together" if everything is properly capitalized, etc.

I "traded" my PPA amp for Tarik's w100's, plus cash. I shipped it out around late June.

He recieved my amp about two weeks after i had shipped it out.I still didn't get anything. He tells me that it might be stuck in customs, so i had no other choice but to wait.

Three more weeks go by, and i still have nothing. He then tells me that it might have got lost, so he says that he would file an insurance claim. I agree and wait.

Two weeks pass by, and i still don't have word from Tarik of what's going on. I sent him numerous messages about what the situation is, but all he would do is read my messages, and ignore me.

To this day, i still have not recieved anything.

hi all, i've updated the attatched file.

what is your home address mega? you can PM me it. also your contact details sleepkyng?

also in the file i've italicted some areas where more detail would be required.

also here is what seiko_citizen has written to me:

Can I please prove myself to you? I have not scammed anybody, however I may of bought goods that were not from a clean source. I have also been having countless sleepless nights.

to be honest, ever since I have known that tarik was a scamster I had immediatly ceased contact with him all together

I would like to tell you that I am no con-man. I may of have bought goods without first checking the history of any products, If you want I can help you track down this person and get the products back to their original owners.
If you want I can prove to you that I am a decent person. I myself have been burnt before so I know how it feels like

Can I just clarify some things with you. Until it was posted on the
forums, I didnt know the history of the products, however what I will do
is pursue Tarik (which is by the way not Cory Lei), to make matters
straight. I have shot an email to him (tarik@cfswebmail.com) demanding
him to do so, or the police will be involved. I am still awaiting a
reply from him. At the moment I have demanded that Tarik ship back both
amps to the owners as well as reimbersing them, like I said I am
awaiting his response. I was foolish in buying amps of a local, before
checking its history. Jahn had told me that I had got Megas PPA. He even
told me to check the history of anything before buying. Now I am
learning the lession of not doing so.

I will be organising shippments of both amps to their respectful owners.

However in me doing so are you going to pursue your actions against me
and tarik?
Why are you making it sound as if I am the crook here? I have said to
you that I am eager to fix things up.

replied to your PM. I'll see if I can find anything else other than a paypal transaction record.

I believe my feedback about Seiko has prompted a few people here to take notice.
i congratulate Becomethe mould for his initiative in this matter and encourage all people who have had any dealings successful or not to contact becomethe mould.
Scamsters start small and can only become bigger.
They are as bad as the criminals and rapists walking on the streets and deserve no better.

Some members here have pmed me to find out in more detail what happened and they know who they are. Please make sure to pass along any and all info regarding either of the crooks/scamsters who are the topic of discussion here.
Any information will help in clearing the bad image that this guys have created or generated here on Head-Fi for members from Australia.
There are a lot of honest Aussie head-fiers here who have and continue to have good sales experiences with memebrs from other nations and we must endeavour to maintain this staus quo

Whoa, Just read seiko's feedback thread, this guy is worse than scamscamduc. Hopefully you'll reap what you sow. Guys, pls go through and report both of them to the police and let the police figure it out. Become the mould, regardless what seiko's said, report Cory Lei to police. We don't know who is the correct one, why do we bother? Let the police figure it out. And I believe if you got criminal record, DIMA won't be so kind to them either. I suspect both of them are overseas student or permanent resident.

I don't think there is much you can do.
Once soiled always soiled cos' I don't think anyone wants to take any risks here.

It is often said that one wrong deed overshadows a thousand good ones. I will leave you to do whatever you want. Personally I don't care.

I would just like the people who have been cheated to get justice and the crooks be taught a lesson not to mess around with trusting people who come to head-Fi expecting decent advice and impressions of new gear and possibly down the line trading with other head-fiers to reduce the hit to their wallets. One bad experience can throw someone of a web forum.

That is indeed very correct. DIMA can be a real pain if you do something stupid like that. I myself am a permanent resident and some of my friends had their PR applications rejected for driving offences.

So? Are you saying that somehow your packages ended up stuck in some bottleneck because of the coming holiday season? Bull****. I've both sent to and received packages(quail powercords, opa627bp opamps, custom led light etc) from the US during the last 2 weeks and it takes an average of 4 days to a week for the items to arrive at their destinations. Unless you sent them by surface shipping.

I'm located in Singapore btw, so I'll be watching out for you on sgheadphones.net.
