Cons: if sensitive to sibilance, bad recordings will reveal...
That's not a con really...
Ngl, it can be both. I do believe a good earphone can show the bad side of the recording but still manage to make the song enjoyable tho

There're plenty of those, especially in j-songs
Yeah I know, I have like several stack of Japanese stuff storing in my hardware :'D

So does acoustune safe with those? coz I know intime does
I probably need to reconfirm this when I go to e-earphone next Monday (Not weekend, because lots of people. Ya know... covid 19). Intime Sora 2 and Sora Light doesn't have this issue yeah.

Same with yoro, my review of the HS1300SS is also up. Took me decent time to do the color grading on the IEM :'D

Acoustune is really top notch in term of design, packaging and sound quality to me.
Even the 1670 which was arguably one of the least-favored models to some, is still excellent to me.
It's a Trebleheads' IEM.
Awesome Coherence, PRAT, ADSR, 3d effects
Fantastic treble details & resolution (not overdone, just the ability to pick up a lot of details). natural Mids, Great mid-bass
Percussions sound great, life like here.
Large Soundfield
Sometimes, i blame the recording for being too sibilant. How come most of my albums (99%) does the recording well?
They're just an honest pair...

I understand you, I find 1670 pretty excellent, although it is one of those IEMs from Acoustune that received mixed feelings from what I see. The treble sparkling is fantastic, bass is punchy and more precise than 1551 imo, imaging is pretty spot-on too. I don't know if they're really a honest pair, but speaking from my honest feeling, I dig them :).

Great pic btw, what is the cable you are using with 1670? Looks nicely braided & shielded.

That's mastering issue, nothing to do with the IEM.

Bright & full bodied, not thin.
Thank you. They are custom designed Litz 3 Japanese OFC copper to give more body on the mids.
Shielding from Teflon and braiding materials from Norme Audio.
Computation, design and build by NWZ, the model range is the Taekyo for 1670ss...

By this phrase, i was referring to, if it's a bad, sibilant track, it won't be forgiving. @ its very worst, the vocal sound is like a badly mixed electret microphone.
It's in the recording, though. Not the 1670ss fault. if it's bad, it's bad...
