Hi an extremely subjective and quick review of the Diana's
I went to this shop and tried a bunch of headphones to find a replacement for my LCD-XC's (they're a bit big...) the Diana's sound much larger than their size, they're also smaller and more portable. and have a more transparent and faster sound than most other headphones I've tried.
compared to the
-LCD-mx4, the vocals sounded more natural.
-Focal Utopia, the abyss were more transparent, it's pretty obvious.
-Denon 7200, way more clear and fast, but Denons have better low end obviously
LCD-X / LCD-XC abyss sound more natural and smooth sounding, they also resolve more and are faster.
In short I've compared them in store to most of the big players and they were the best to my ears, I still have to try the 1266 if I can get my hands on one.
They do need good amplification. a cellphone would definitely not be enough but my macbook output and all my headphone amps are good enough to drive it LOUD, but not necessarily WELL
Finally the single sided gold color planar driver looks REALLY cool
