About volume?

I ordered a Headroom Micro amp and it's on its way. I'll be hooking it up with my Powerbook G4. So, the question is since there is no fixed out, what level of output should I set my computer at, do I max it???

Max volume will generally give you line level or close to it on most sound cards. Turn it down a bit if you hear clipping, though.
