Renewed Hybrid Architecture

A3H+ is the latest evolution on hybrid architecture following the critic acclaimed A3H Hybrid In-Ear Monitor. In comparison to its predecessor, A3H+ utilized a more advanced Nozzle-less Open Vented Armature (NOVATM) Driver coupled with a brand-new graphene dynamic woofer and a mid-range balanced armature driver.

Flagship performance at entry cost

Entry or Flagship? AAW design and charter our product roadmap carefully to cater to different market segments and price range. We always make the best effort to fully tap on our driver combinations' potential, regardless of their driver count. ACH brings a new era of acoustic architecture on the table and despite its competitive costing due to driver type and count. The new hybrid platform delivers ear-catching performance at a fraction of the cost of a typical flagship In-Ear Monitor.

Nozzle-less Open Vented Armature (NOVATM) Driver

In this hybrid structure, we choose to use a specially designed armature driver with an open front acoustic vent and embedded it deep into the A3H+'s 3d printed nozzle. The proximity to the user eardrum will eliminate sound pressure decay and any unwanted resonance in a typical tubed balanced armature design.

Graphene Dynamic Woofer

The brand-new graphene dynamic driver has an ultra-thin and rigid film diaphragm made of graphene material. By further utilizing a physical low pass filter, it is to the only function in minimal overlapping frequency range as opposed to the balanced armature drivers. Coupled with a delicate positional arrangement and the new 3d printed acoustic chamber design, AAW can achieve improved coherence, minimize phase shift, and optimize the arrival timing of music signal.

Precision Design and 3D Printing

With a wholly digitized design process, A3H+'s driver and nozzle placement are simulated hundreds of iterations to determine the ideal phasing and response. Its enclosure and acoustic chamber are 3D printed to precision to maintain consistency in mass production.

Sound Signature

A3H+ is tuned with a vigorous and lively sound signature in mind, it offers natural sub-bass, which you will never find in a full, balanced armature setup. The dedicated NOVATM driver offers crystal clear details in the vocal and treble range. The treble extension is well controlled to provide a non-fatiguing listening experience.
Suitable for band performances, emerging artists, worship events, and anybody who appreciates exceptional listening experience.

So am I...and as @Reebonz mentioned, it does not sound cheap at all, just because the price is cheap.

I think NOVA BA is their in-house technology. They collaborated with TCA for FIBAE technology.

I believe the A3H+ was actually introduced back in November, but hasn't really had much coverage. They developed their NOVA BA prior to their collaboration with Custom Art. My first CIEM was the A3H Pro about 5 years ago, seems like so long ago...

Let's hope they have come a long way from pro to plus...

They arrived yesterday, very impressed already.

Overall they're a mid bass / upper mids / upper treble focussed layer cake, huge soundstage width, super clear, super smooth set. Very powerful sound but refined.

Bass: more rumble than I was expecting, huge mid bass that manages not to sound fatiguing by virtue of very good imaging and lots of detail and texture, good separation from the mids with the occassional sense of harmonic "bloom" / bleed in the upper bass on some older recordings (pre 90s, broadly speaking) which isn't my use case for these so not too bothered. Quite fast decay but there's no mistaking it's a DD.

Mids: lower mids sound a tad recessed with certain voices / mixing approaches, upper mids sound good to fabulous (depending on recording technique), great imaging and very detailed at the expense of a little note weight from the missing lower mids. Insane clarity/separation here with female vocals and synths sounding pretty effortless, and probably the best of my sets in terms of harmony separation. There's a bit of bite missing compared to other sets but that's a plus when it comes to longer listening sessions. They do seem to be tuned with modern pop/edm mastering in mind, the huge presence boost these types of recording have can sound harsh on other sets, but not here thanks to the the scoops in the mids. Sibilance is also pretty well controlled.

Treble: more upper than lower treble focus but hihats still sound impactful and air is more than decent.

Will do some comparisons against specific tracks after some more listening, but I can already tell these are going into heavy rotation. They've got that addictive quality to them!

Goddamn! So it indeed was a hidden gem that nobody was paying attention to!! Feeling great that we managed to unearth it
Mine has been shipped as well, will probably receive by day after tomorrow. Hyped already!
You mentioned huge soundstage width. How is the soundstage depth? Does it provide a holographic experience?

I would say depth is average, but need more time with them and checking against tracks - I find depth quite hard to quantify without a lot of concentration (will compare to dk-2001, which is pretty good depth wise).

That is not the stock cable (it’s a XinHS), needed a balanced one to use it with 9038s. Also should mention even the large tips are tiny (by my standards).
