Just had an aftermarket pioneer put in my car. It sais it can play aac from itunes. I have always converted my aac files to mp3 and put on cd for my last car. Now this one plays aac it sais so I figured it would be ideal. Anyway...my question... I don't see anywhere in itunes for the option to burn an aac cd. Just mp3 and data. Is data the same as aac? Forgive me my lack of knowledge here and if this wasn't the place to put this thread. Thanks....

p.s.. I can use my ipod and eliminate the whole dilema... but where I work..I don't have a safe place to keep it during the day. So for my commute..I prefer cd's...plus I like to listen to books on cd... if I could put them on 3 cd's instead of say 15... that would be great.

Oh, ouch. You've been converting a lossy file to a lossy file.

Unfortunately...I do not have the "upper high end" ear. I rip in itunes at 320. Then I try with the apple lossless. I can't hear a whole lot of difference with headphones...let alone my car stereo. I enjoy good sound but I am far from an audiophile quality guy. Just want to carry less cd's around and enjoy the sound.

Just burn a data CD with the AAC files organized on it to your liking. It should read it just fine.

Yes, that has worked in the past for me as well. Good luck.
