I recently started looking into over-ear cans for the first time, so before going out and spending a ton on a nice set with seemingly amazing spec on paper that I have no clue about, I needed a starting point to go from. For the price and user feedback, I ended up with Audio-Technica's ATH-M20x. As a starter set, overall I am happy with these, but I'm looking for suggestions on other sets that tick more of my boxes.
- Punchier Bass; I'm happy with the overall sound these produce, just wish the bass was punchier
- Bigger Ear Cups: I'm good with the padding quantity and quality (for the price) on the ear cups and under the head support, I'd really like a set with bigger ear cups though as I'd like the cups to pretty much encapsulate my ears comfortably; currently the outer edges of my ears will start to hurt from being pressed against
- Single Cable: No Y's please, I'm use to the convenience of a single cable.
- Price: Can a set be found around 50? around 100?
