A strange request.

Last time I checked the Zana Deux does not include a source.
It's all about perception, to me, the zana duex amp is less "flat" than the isabellina combo and has a slightly more warmer tone.
If you go back and read the sentiments for the sa5000 since its conception, it becomes quite evident a wide variety of opinions is offered.

Wasn't suggesting the ZDSE included a source. "Amp/source" is not necessarily the same as "amp + source." It could mean either-or.

Also to my ears the ZDSE is in no way warmer than the Isabellina, FWIW.

It's just me nitpicking :p
Which version of the isabellina are you using? Are you using the same monitors and source for an a/b? I didn't find the zdse as the end all of "neutral", far from it.

Is this true?

Yes mother.
No seriously, the drivers are similar, and the pads change the overall signature. They sound more lean, with decreased bass quantity, and arguably more detailed.
