A question about the Shure 440's

I recently purchased a pair of Shure 440's and I'm not to impressed with the lack of bass, is it true the Shure 840 pads will improve the bass on my 440's?

Yes, because it seals better. But it'll only be a subtle change. The biggest benefit of the 840 pads is comfort.
