I recently finished the burn-in of my new headphones, the Hifiman he1000 SE. After approximately 150 hours, I can now see their true potential. I absolutely enjoy them, paired with my Lyr 2 with the Western Electrik 396A tubes and a bifrost multibit. Although I do enjoy the sound that these cans offer me, I know that they can do even more. They can perform even better.

So, I do know that headphones of that caliber deserve some justice. A new amp will deliver justice just fine. I was thinking of the Mjolnir 2 for an upgrade. Not only it'll give some extra juice to my headphones (these headphones do really scale well I believe, so they can take that juice for sure!), but then I will be able to run them with a balanced cable. That'll help even more.

My question to you is, what exactly will the Mjolnir help with? Is it worth it, or the Lyr 2 already gives 90% of what the Mjolnir would give me.
