A buddy of mine raised rottweilers at one time.
A not too swift buddie was over his house and thought it was cute to tease his "chained" doggies.

When he went to leave on his harley his rear tire was chewed off !!!!!!!

Had a friend with a female rott, she liked to chew on tennis balls. It usually took about two chews before the thing EXPLODED. Now that's a strong set of jaws!! She was also one of the kindest, smartest, and mos taffectionate dogs I have even had the priviledgeof playing with!!!

We had a completely friendly Irish Wolfhound.. She was the coolest ever! (even if she was 2 metres tall when jumping onto the door. (she did that when she wanted in, hehe)).

Unfortunately, she got a cancer in her leg, and my dad had to give her an injection of euthatal. We buried her in a hole she dug herself. :\. Maybe the trees grew healthier.. Meh. We also had a Jack Russel called katy, she was awesome too. Ran out of legs. (Hit once, one leg gone. Hit again, one leg broken, fell in a hole, leg broken again, didn't heal, euthatal for her.)

Dogs are cool.. so loyal.. I have currently got 4 cats, a dog called Bruce (sydney silky), 2 axolotls, 2 turtles, an eel, and my sister has a rat. And my dad breeds goldfish when he's not being a vet.. hehe. My mother is a vet 150% of the time.

Congratulations Matt, just remember to keep your face away from her (just kidding). Well loved, those dogs are the nicest animals ever, really gentile. My cat made friends with a female in New York, she would lick him all over, covering him in goo for the whole day. The first time he was freaked out, but he kinda got used to it. And where I live now, there's another female, really nice dog.

Take good care of her.

Congrats on the new addition. 80 lbs @ 3 mo, she is going to be a large animal.

yourself, I am jealous. I grew up with all sorts of pets around (dogs, cats, racoons, etc). Unfortunately when I got married I found that my wife has a phobia of any animals of any type. It worked itself out, though. Since I didn't really want to have children the deal became "no pets, no kids". Only problem is that we have to get rid of furniture when we are sick of looking at it, because it never wears out!

She is five years old. We got her full grown. The only thing she hates is to be bothered while laying down. Especially when she is on the downstairs bed.

I should be so lucky , dogs , cats , reptiles , fish , little Ricks running around (well , maybe not soo little anymore) . So far no flying creatures in my house , unless you consider wall climbing geckos "flying" when they leap for food

Rick, it is my considered opinion that geckos do not fly so much as they plummet. I hate it when they "trip" and fall off the cieling in the middle of the night.

That brought back a fond memory of a dive trip to a wonderful island (Taveuni) a few years ago. These large brown geckos would appear each night to guard the light outside the room doors. Each room seemed to have an assigned Gecko. One evening when we were retreating to our rooms after narrowly escaping being fed to death my dive buddy exclaimed "Hey, Gecko number 223 is missing! Now we have to get another room!". Hysterical. Of course we were relieved when 223 showed up, just late for work. Even the reptiles (amphibians?) operate on island time in Fiji.

Anybody here had a hawk or falcon? I know they require a lot of work, but what a cool pet!

Works for me Greg.Though there is such a creature as a "flying" Gecko.
They don't actually fly but rather glide using webbing between the front and rear legs plus flatted tails used as a kinda/sorta rudder.

Really man ! crap you not
