WoW!

They sounded great when I got them.

They sounded fantastic out of my Klipsch Promedia headphone out.

They sounded better when I broke them in.

They sounded better when I plugged them into my very consumer grade Aiwa amp.

They sounded SUPERB out of my new Altoid amp.

I just ordered a !Red! Markertek mini!

I just got back with the Gladiator soundtrack and about ten various cd's from the library.

IS THERE NO END TO THIS WORLD!

My wallet's starting to hide more often, but I just slap it around a bit.

But of course, most people on this forum have the most fun when it sounds good.

Jess ~ The 580's of course

Oh yeah, I had plenty of fun moving cables, buying things, adjusting the fit, etc.

Radrd ~ I also hear they are quite good

Mook ~ Don't say things like that

*paid 165* Though actually only 145 after rebate

I had my Koss Portapro Jrs. the better part of this year and finally broke down for the badboys when UT2003 came out. I tried the HD 280's first, but did not care for their flat sound. Great DJ phones sure, but I didn't have much fun listening to them. Not to mention the comfort factor difference 580>280, I enjoy the open sound much more. These
phones got me craving Pavirotti for singin' out loud!

Next purchase...a SOURCE!!

Mook, is that from "Mean Streets"? There was a line there where Harvey Keitel says to a guy "Don't be a mook!" and the guy says: "Are you calling me a mook?" and they almost gets into a fight. Then he turns to his friend and says: "What's a mook?"

I love that movie

Mook,

I gather you're not from NY, and thus don't know what mook means.

That would depend.....I figured in the context I heard it from years ago, it pretty much summarized a bumbling idiot. Could be wrong, though.

Enlighten me

I'm from NYC, and that's it.

"Mean Streets" is one great movie.
