Hi all;

After some serious thought, here's one of my new years resolutions. This year, I plan to match my music spending with charitable donations. Every dime i spend on goodies will be echoed by a dime to some worthy organization-mainly my church's misson fund or PETA.

Hope that doesn't come across as holier than thou-if i was really Saint like I'd match my cigar budget-that would change the world!

Hope all have a good new year.

I commend you for your suggestion mackay.

While we all love our music, our cans, our amps, players, etc, we need to share with others when we can. I give freely to my church for the furtherance of the kingdom of God and to help those who are hurting and in need.

Let me guess, Jonathan Swift reincarnated? I did a report on "A Modest Proposal" in high school, good little satire that Swift wrote.

Sadly, being only 18, that would leave me with $10 headphones....
I guess I'll have to comfort myself with the crazy amount of money my country donates to worthy organizations every year..

Nothing related to religion will ever get any of my money though.... Being an atheist and all

Eh, I was following right along w/ you... until the PETA part. Worthy goals, yes... worthy organization, no, not IMO. That ridiculous "Got Beer?" campaign was the last straw for me, personally.

That was my first thought as well. Sadly, never got around to reading the book.
