Hiya.

I've used the search bar, but I didn't really find an answer at first glance.

This is an issue that's been going on for a few months now.
I didn't have the head for it but now I found the energy to tackle it.

I have no clue how long it's been going on, but Windows default volume is really low for me.
It's a win 10 only issue, games I play sound just fine, I think, and Foobar2000 with the Wasabi plugin even get VERY loud.

Gear: Asus Xonar Essence STX ( 1 ), Beyerdynamic MMX300 600Ohm, AIAIAI TMA2 analog connection.
Software: Windows 10, Foobar 2000, Twitch and Youtube on Google Chrome browser.
Settings: Foobar is on high priority, using 24bit output. Wasabi output plugin. No problems what-so-ever.
Windows is on surround 7.1, broad frequency range setting, 24bit, 192Khz
Xonar Audio Essence is on, gaming setting, Dolby Headphone, High Gain, surround 7.1.
I'm using the SVN setting or else I need to turn up the volume to 90 - 100.
Hardware wise, the molex connector has been re-inserted firmly and even changed out.

It's a tad late, since I'm uf for the Audeze Mobius which will probably fix the problem anyway.
Yet, I'd like to know what the problem is.
thanks

[Edit, hah, the TMA-2 DOES sound louder, sorry. I don't know what the impedance is since it has the Bluetooth headband and I have no clue how that behaves with a analogue audio cable connected.

I'm guessing the Xonar doesn't get the power delivered to drive a 600Ohm HP, but that doesn't explain why it can trough Foobar?
