M.S. Subbalakshmi is not someone I expect any of you to know. But she was considered to be a "living" god without the usual "power / influence" associated with religious figures.

An unassuming artiste she rose in fame from the early days and her voice was venerated worldwide.

I will dig through my collection for a few classic tracks in digital format (quite rare...all on tapes and stuff...a few CD's which I will try to rip...). I will post a few tracks here just to give you an idea of the power of this woman's voice.

It is a sad day...we were very close to her and her music will always live in our hearts.

I just graduated this afternoon...Dec 11th 2004 is a day I will never forget...

I'm sorry to hear about the passing away of Ms. Subbalakshmi. I was not familiar with her music but I look forward to hearing the tracks you have available.

Congratulations on your graduation. Now you're gonna make the big bucks, right? I graduate from graduate school with an MBA in the spring. So let's put a business together! With your brains and my...uh...and your brians, we can go far!
