I don't have roon so this answer may or may not help... some apps have their own volume control... if roon does then you should turn the roon volume control down and try to match the output volume of the Fiio music app or UAPP... hope this helps..
This has nothing to do with the volume control! I have this hiss with every other application too! The audio path from the M11produces audible hiss with high sensitive headphones. On my Beyerdynamic DT1770 i hear nothing over the 3.5 jack. With my ibasso IT04 on the 2.5 jack i hear this hiss very good.

Ok, I checked all music applications and the hiss was quite loud, being able to hear it overpower the music in quite portions. FiiO advised to downgrade, so I downgraded to 1.0.7 and the hiss is still present, but not as loud for sure and much more tolerable. I don't know if this may be an issue with my M11, but just a heads up to anyone.
BTW 1.0.7 with the Google Play patch is extremely unstable.
EDIT: I also checked with other earphones beyond FH7 and the same hiss is present. I even tried a friend's brand new FH7 so it is not due to my earphones being damaged or defective.

After the update, the eq on Fiio Music for my M11 Pro stopped working. The EQ on other music applications still work, however I feel like Fiio Music is the most intuitive one out of all the apps. Thanks!

For someone who doesn’t agree with Google's privacy policy, but wants to benefit from UAPP, can I install Play Store then purchase UAPP and then remove Play Store like it never existed on my M11 Pro while remaining with UAPP installed?
Hi, I've recently switched to Amazon Music HD subscriber and looking to sell my AK120 and ALO International Optical. I'm looking at the M11, M11pro and M15 (albeit the last is stretching my budget). Can anyone tell me if Amazon Music HD works reliably on all three? Any thoughts on which player to go for also appreciated. I'll be using with Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless phones. Thanks in advance
I only have long listening experience with the m11 and m11 pro. Amazon HD didn’t work a while back but I believe people claimed it was working a update or two ago. I kept my m11 and got rid of the m11 pro. The normal m11 was a little lean in the low end compared to the pro but I couldn’t justify an extra 200 for small sound quality difference. I just got the m15 yesterday but don’t have enough listening time to comment if it’s worth the price quite yet. I already hate the volume knob but I’ll get used to it.
