So I finally decided to go get the Denon AH-D2000's off Ebay for $260 but I want to double check that these are the ones for me before I buy them.

First, at the price range of 250 dollars are these one of the best for my variety of music, which ranges from rock to hiphop to techno, or is there another 'phone thats better? The bass is good enough for these genres right?

Next, any websites that have them cheaper than $260? Just checking.

Thirdly, I'm going to start out listening to them connected straight to my laptop output but I'm slowly going to mod them, get an Amp, and etc. to improve the quality so if you have the D2000's what amp do you use? Any mods you recommend?

Thank you, I just wanted to make one final check before I purchase these, I can't wait.

I'd definetely recommend the Markl mod, tightens up the bass and a wider soundstage. Makes it a bit more comfortable as well... although they are already amazingly comfortable stock.

I used my Mini^3 with the D2000 and it tightened the bass even more and added a bit more bass impact which was great.

Everything became clearer as well.

Would you recommend the HFI-780's over the D2000's?
