A couple of years ago I decided to dive head first into diy audio and went straight for the Pimeta. It worked, mostly, but had a few problems due to my crappy wiring on the input / output jacks. I lost intrest and put everything back into a box. I've decided to get back into it and am going to build a Cmoy, which I should have done in the first place. I do have a couple of questions though:

1. I am using a metal case, and am using a dc power jack. I know that the power jack and the output jack need to be isolated from the case, since the inputs ground will be tied the case. Does the pot need to be isolated as well, or is it ok as it shares a ground with the inputs. (I think).

2. I want to be about to easily disconnect all of the panel components from the board. Would there be any reason not to use either of these style connectors?

In #1, the output jack also shares the virtual ground on a Cmoy (which is the only ground), so it does not need to be isolated. On a Pimeta, it would need to be isolated as the input ground is buffered and becomes the output ground (different grounds).

The connectors may make it difficult to cram this into an Altoids tin though.
