Hello all-

I'm a guitarist and looking for interesting ways to spice up my band's sound on our next record, and I've recently thought up an idea that I know I won't be able to implement without some help. It's basically a cheap, lo-fi version of a wireless system involving an FM oscillator with a 1/4" input that sends a signal to a transistor radio with a 1/4" output (that goes into a guitar amp).

One of the problems I'm sensing with this, however, is that the guitar signal won't be amplified until after it has been sent through the FM oscillator and the radio, so there might be some issues here. I want something that will make a lot of static when the "send" and "receive" frequencies don't match up, but sound relatively clean when they're right on target. What can I say, I just love the sound of distorted static--and who doesn't!

I'm mechanically incompetent but would love to give a talented DIYer some rough specs (and a little dough) and see what he could do. And best of all, he'll be credited in the liner notes for his contribution!

So, does anyone here know of anyone who might be interested in undertaking this project?

Thanks!

~Jordan
