The slot canyons of Northern Arizona and Southern Utah are absolutely beautiful and surreal places to visit and hike but also extremely dangerous this time of year. Two little girls were killed just a week or so ago in a flash flood in Little Whitehorse Canyon while hiking with their family...a hike I've done many times.
