Looks like the new design of the Aurora

Yes. New option for the faceplate.

I am very happy with the subtle black/silver faceplate that Abel used on my Aurora.

I listened with the Aurora all day today and they were excellent, just a nice pleasant well balanced tuning with excellent bass and a great mid range but without trying to do anything to spicy in the top end that can get fatiguing.

Then the Neon Pro and Aurora will look the same and I have no idea which is which. I have boxes of these things and I am not very smart. Heck. I don't even remember what half of them are.

But I get your point, I only have a small collection so keeping track of them isn’t hard

I haven’t listened with my Ascension for a while.

The reason being they are so good there was nothing to mess with to help improve the sound, to assess strengths and weaknesses or to prove to myself that I did actually enjoy them and they had a place in my collection. These are all things I have been doing with other IEM while the Ascension sat quietly in their case unused.

I pulled them out last night and listened to about a dozen songs straight off my humble FiiO M11 Plus LTD. I was immediately reminded that they are a fantastic set of IEM that to my ears do nothing wrong and an awful lot right.

The treble is lovely and detailed due to the EST drivers but they aren’t harsh and overdone at all. The single 10mm DD does bass beautifully without being overemphasised and overpowering. The mid range is of course expertly done with Abel’s excellent tuning. They are just a lovely listen overall.

It seems the Aehta has dominated the AuR Audio discussion lately but the Ascension is still a phenomenally good IEM. So much so that, combined with a recent switch in my mindset to just enjoy what I have for a while, the Aehta are not even on my radar.

I'm so jealous of your faceplates as the stock ones are cringe.
