I'm picking up the AKG K701 and am wondering if my Headroom Total Airhead will drive them.

Let me know if anyone has tried this combo.

yes, it will drive it to a loud enough volume
and no, you won't even be close to reaching full potential out of them.
I suggest a dedicated home amp instead.

Sorry to hear that baka, but I have the older brother to the airhead (the micro) and find that it still doesnt have enough to drive the 701s to their potential, I think your wallet may have had a lucky break through.

You should still look into getting a pair of 701s.

it's an absolute bargain IMO and it's a very good match with K701s.
