$699 Digigram VXpocket 440 PCMCIA Sound Card??

As anyone tried out the Digigram VXpocket 440 or their VXpocket v2 PCMCIA sound cards selling at $699 & $499 respectively. That is substantially more than what Echo Indigo IO/DJ costs and I was wondering if any of you has had any experience with them?

The VXpocket V2 can be had for $200, and is a GREAT soundcard. They are the pcmcia soundcard of choice among laptop recordists I know...
