Hi,

got a weired problem with 64 GB SD Cards.
I konw this has been discussed before forthe X3, but i do not find a valid answer...

I copied  my music library several times directly to SD Cards. Formatted either as FAT32 or NTFS.

Only on 32 GB Cards all files were recognized on the X1. If I use a 64 GB Card, i can use it up to a certain point.
After a manual update to the media libraray on X1, the directory structure will be destroyed (Filenames and -types). Root entries are ok.  I have 66 dirs in root and about 1350 files in total - mixed ALAC and MP3.

I tried for three days now to manage this, changed SD Card, did an update to FW 1.22 - but nothing helps. Anyone any idea? Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Carsten

Hello Carsten,

Are you sure your 64GB cards are genuine?

Have you tried formatting the card directly on the X1?

Best regards,
Joe

Hi Joe,

thank you for your answer. Yes, i formatted the SD card serveral times in the X1.
And formatted with various SD Formatters (Tesing after formatting included).

The card looks like a genuine Samsung EVO SD card. Price was not extraordinary cheap.
Performs like expected. Had another card which was much slower.
Didn't work either same symptoms. But who can be shure about SD Cards?

Did a downgrade to FW 1.10. No change.

I like this X1 that much - brilliant piece of work. It would be a shame, if i can't get this working ...

Cheers,
Carsten.

Some additional information:

if i Copy files to the sd on my computer, everything is just fine ....
i can Play - until I put the SD into the X1 and update media library ...

Ok, I Think we can stop this here.

I did a checkwith H2testw:

Achtung: Nur 63906 von 63999 MByte getestet.
Der Datenträger ist wahrscheinlich defekt.
7,2 GByte OK (15163696 Sektoren)
14,2 GByte DATEN VERLOREN (29851399 Sektoren)
Details:
14,2 GByte überschrieben (29851399 Sektoren)
0 KByte leicht verfälscht (< 8 Bit/Sektor, 0 Sektoren)
0 KByte mit Datenmüll (0 Sektoren)
64 MByte mehrfach genutzt (131072 Sektoren)
Erster Fehler bei Offset: 0x00000001cdd26000
Soll: 0x00000001cdd26000
Ist: 0x0000000f3c6bc000
H2testw Version 1.3

This is obviously a fake card - I can't believ it!

Sorry for bothering you all ...
