You know what? I'm starting to think the same thing... this bugger sends me home telling me everything is ok and now the gums are healing up over razor sharp pieces of tooth and everytime I open my mouth the sharp peaks of remaining tooth dig into my gums......
That fat person will probably be sitting in front of the TV (as I type this) chewing some spare ribs and slugging back some expensive wine whilst I'm sitting here with my mouth closed, pumped full of painkillers, and reluctant to eat "anything" in case it causes the gum to flare up again.
I phoned his practice today and asked the receptionist how long it would take for the dental hospital to get in touch with me and she says "I haven't got a clue" she asked one of the other dentists that was on hand and he reckoned 7 to 10 days.
It seems nobody cares about anything these days and they are free to get away with murder "and" charge for the privilege. As much as I am against suing I think this guy needs to know that I am not going to be treated like some nondescript object who will accept bad treatment and keep quiet and suffer in silence "and" pay for the privilege.
Nope, he's caused me a lot of misery and unnecessary pain these past couple of months and he's going to be made aware of it one way or another....... I've literally lost one stone in weight thanks to this tooth not being able / having the desire to eat and it's all thanks to my dentist.... why should he get away with that and how many other people are suffering in silence?
What's the best way to go re: "legal action"? I'll check and see if there is a dental ombudsman and maybe could go down that route for starters........ I don't want "money" from the guy but I sure as hell am not paying him to give me pain...... I can't do much more of this continual pain it's driving me mad........ I just want the guy to get a big slap on the wrist and for him to be aware of the suffering people go through as a result of bad dentistry....... It's not fair and the only real way he would realise the suffering is by going through it himself...... Ricks suggestion of "I think maybe I would be sitting on his chest with a pair of vice grips in my right hand saying "open wide....it'll only hurt for a minute....." is the ideal solution but I'd probably get carted off to a mental home in a straight jacket if I put that into practice.
Maybe it's just the constant pain that's making me think this way but I want the guy who has caused this pain to get a taste of his own medicine and then maybe he'll realise what it feels like and how long it lasts and how much it drains your body and how it screws up your "enjoyment" of simple things such as eating, communicating, thinking, drinking........ life in general.
****, I've got the pleasure of getting the remainder of the tooth removed to look forward to.........
Nightmare.
