Hi all,

This is my first post to the forum.  I would like to get a high quality set of IEMs but I am a bit unsure what to go with as I don't have experience with anything over $150.

I just tested some Focal Diablo Utopia speakers with a Burmester amp in my home for the weekend and figured I really should upgrade my earphones since I spend more time with those than anything.

I will mostly be listening to my iPhone 5 with Spotify's extreme quality.  I could get a small headphone amp if necessary but I would prefer a pair that works well without an amp.

My current pair is a the Klipsch S4i which I prefer to my previous pair of Etymotic HF3s because they have more bass.  I mostly listen to pop music and occasionally classical music.

I need something durable with a remote that can control my iPhone and it would be nice to get something water resistant (not a deal breaker though).

I would also like to be able to easily remove and insert the IEMs if possible.  I usually listen to 3-4 hours a day worth of music and podcasts.

Right now the top choice is the Shure SE535...but I know there are others I should be considering.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Hows the bass of the W40?

Probably you should have checked out these threads:

I canceled the order for the W40 after reading that an all plastic Chinese made head phone should not be $500.

Thank you for the reply zamorin but I was hoping I could use knowledgeable forum members to make a recommendation based on my needs...sifting through old reviews of discontinued products and products that don't fit my needs is not what I want to do.

I need to have iPhone controls and an earphone that is easy to insert and remove quickly.  If anyone has some recommendations please let me know.  I think now I would like to stay under $350.

I suggest the Vsonic GR07BE. You can get it here for $130 with free shipping:

They are good overall. Good bass, mids and highs but they don't have iPhone controls.

Another good option will be the new DUNU DN-1000.
