Hi I am looking for around the ear headphones 350 or lower that are bass-heavy and have good sound stage. I was looking at the AKG K702 and those look really good. Is there better I could get?

From what i know Akg is not bass heavy and they need power to sound good. Do you have an amplifier? where are you plugging your headphones to?

I only have an Fiio E11 :(. Into an iPod. I have a question (im not an audiophile). Why does everybody ask what im plugging it into? Are there different things other than a computer and an iPod? Sorry if that sounds really REALLY dumb but.. It has been confusing me lol.

well everyone ask because headphones have all different impedance levels, and a few head phones only sound really good if you have them plugged into a whole amp set up, as for the headphones since the k702 are not bass heavy, what about the denon d2000?

Check out the Audio-Technica Pro700MK2 http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-PRO700MK2-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B004KCLIFA/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top . Supposed to be right up there with the basshead cans.

By knowing what your source is and whether or not you have an amp will better help head-fiers recommend the appropriate 'phones for you. Other considerations we ask about are price, listening preferences, and style (on ear, over ear, IEM, etc.). There can be many different types of sources for you to plug into: ipod, iPhone, CD player, laptop, smartphone, tablet, AV receiver, TV, high-end desktop rigs with discrete headphone amps, etc.). Hard to imagine that we have so many sources of music these days. Therefore, they all differ in the type and quality of the sound that they can output and whether or not you will need an amp/DAC.

Yep but you also asked why everyone always asks what you are plugging into (2nd post) so I was answering THAT question. Also you asked (2nd post) about the different possible sources.

Oh, sorry
